Walter S Johnson (Deceased)
Walter S. Johnson was born on April 3, 1912 in Buffalo, Minnesota. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 1934 and his law degree from the University of Wyoming. Walter Johnson served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific as an aircraft navigator in World War II. At the conclusion of the War, he returned to continue his service as Wright County Attorney and as a Public Defender. He was a mentor to many young attorneys at the firm over the years, four of whom were eventually appointed as judges in the Tenth Judicial District. Walter’s remarkable career spanned 61 years, until his retirement in 1996. He passed away on January 19, 2002.
